Vaavu Atoll
Vaavu is a Maldivian administrative atoll that is a haven for adventurers and scuba divers. Vaavu is the native Felidhoo Atoll, which features the ring-shaped Vattaru reef, and is located between South Male Atoll and Meemu Atoll (in the south of the atoll). Felidhoo Island is Vaavu's capital. The Vaavu Atoll comprises of five island chains. The islands of Vaavou Atoll may be reached by ferry or speedboat. The travel from Male to the nearby Fulidhoo Island takes 1 hour by speedboat or 3 hours by ferry.
In regards to population size, Vaavu is the smallest of all atolls. Due to the absence of people, the beaches were empty, and the natural beauty was breathtaking. These islands are famed for their natural beauty, even among the Maldivians, who are notoriously tough to dazzle with turquoise photos of paradise.
Even though all of the atolls appear to have the same face, each has its personality, and Vaavu is known for two things: fishing and music. Fishermen come here with confidence from all over the nation to catch enormous flocks of tuna. When they're not at sea, they may unwind by listening to the sounds of traditional drums and tambourines during the Langiri or Boduberu cultural events.
Adu Atoll
Addu Atoll, located 335 miles south of the capital Malé, is the furthest south of all the Maldivian atolls. It is the only Maldivian atoll in the southern hemisphere, with Fuvahmulah, and it just tips over the equator. Like Malé in the north, Addu Metropolis is the primary core of the heart-shaped atoll and is expanding like any other town or city.
Addu Atoll is a natural harbor that the British used during World War II. It was an underground base that the Japanese were unaware of for the whole of the conflict. The island settlement of Gan is currently the airport but was initially created by the British in 1941 as a Royal Navy facility. It's an odd area with the feel of an abandoned military camp. The ancient barracks and structures remain, progressively being turned into houses, hotels, and businesses.
South Ari Atoll
Ari Atoll is located west of the city and is renowned for its excellent diving and spectacular beachfront. It is centered on a vast, luxurious, and welcoming oval lagoon studded with reefs. The nutrient-rich water that rushes out to the high seas through the islands' vast canals draws a variety of ocean-going species and swimmers from across the globe.
South Ari Atoll, a Protected Marine Area, is still one of the greatest sites in the world to observe whale sharks, which can be seen year-round on the outer reef. At the same time, North Ari Atoll is famed for its hammerhead sharks, which are significantly more elusive and need deep diving to see. Rasdhoo, a tiny tropical atoll northeast of Ari Atoll, and Thoddoo, an isolated island, have thriving, expanding accommodation scenes that appeal to budgetary visitors seeking an economical diving vacation.
Baa Atoll
Baa atoll is home to fancy hotels that provide distinctive sanctuaries for guests to promote relaxation on their adventures in this UNESCO-protected natural paradise. The hotels range from five to five stars and are generally charming boutique resorts that provide an ideal base for exploring the aquatic treasures of Baa atoll.
These tiny emerald islands are surrounded by sand so white it practically dazzles, and their limitless vistas mix beautiful turquoise waters with the azure sky. Atoll Baa has everything you'd expect from a genuine Maldives resort. Between snorkeling with Manta Rays and relaxing on the beach, you'll discover a friendly local culture and a plethora of living landscapes. Dive in, and you may find that you never want to leave.
Kaafu
The North and South Male Atolls and Gaafaru atoll and Kaashidhoo island comprise Kaafu Atoll, a hub to the country's most fantastic and most famous hotels and all resorts approachable resorts via speedboat from Male airport. Maafushi, the uncrowned capital of budget tourism, is also located in South Male Atoll. It is now home to hundreds of guest homes, economy hotels, diving companies, and even a beach for tourists.
Both atolls offer several natural advantages: good diving spots on both banks of Vaadhoo Kandu, the canal that connects the atolls of North and South Male, and the atoll of Gaafaru Falhu Atoll, located north of North Male Atoll, has at least three locations of rack diving. Some of the Maldives' most incredible surf locations are also found in the North Male Atoll, where a tiny seasonal surf population thrives on the waves, and the beaches are virtually always good.
